Has Snowden asked for any legal help related to returning to the US? He started whistle blowing because he felt strongly about where the US was headed. Now some no nothings write into the NYT and suddenly there are clemency petitions all over the place without one word from Snowden himself!
Any clemency would be a tradeoff to shut down what Snowden's exposing. Now why would he want to do that after all he's accomplished and still has to accomplish? And why would those asking for his clemency be so concerned?
