"Win an election" Please the damage is already done at that point. That's why we need to have a parliament where we can call for a vote of confidence. Of course the other parts are we need citizen referendum and initiative to take back our country.
As for Kiev. They waited to long to give into or at least address the protestors demands and now it's gone "postal". This will be the same thing that will happen here in the US. The politicians will push people so far that they be taking torches and pitchforks to DC to physically remove these jackasses.
